In 1991, Eagle Ottawa pioneered the development of water based finishing, slashing emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by 99%, and leading the entire leather industry away from solvent finishes. Even today, as so many leather companies have moved toward water based finishes, Eagle Ottawa continues to lead the way, with the lowest solvent content of any of its competitors. We've invested our resources toward our equipment and processes to implement roll-coat finishing and ultra high-efficiency spray controls to improve coating utilization and prevent the generation of the waste. Environmental Policy Eagle Ottawa has formalized its long standing commitment to the environment by establishing an "EnvironmentalPolicy Statement." The Environmental Management System (EMS) was created to implement the Environmental policies, communicate the corporateenvironmental philosophy to the Eagle Ottawa families. Each facility customizes their EMS to address local, regional and other unique environmental issues. Eagle Ottawa, LLC, a global automotive interior parts supplier is committed to a healthier and safer environment in our workplaces, the communities in which they are located and in the world in which we live.
